John Gordan, MD, PhD
Associate Professor, Medicine (GI Oncology)
Dr. Gordan is an Associate Professor at the University of California, San Francsico. He is a physician scientist focused on the treatment and study of primary liver cancers, and runs a research group in the Quantitative Biosciences Institute. His laboratory uses proteomic and functional genomics methods to identify novel targets and improve the application of existing therapeutics for liver cancers including hepatocellular carcinoma, cholangiocarcinoma and fibrolamellar liver cancer, and also works to develop new small molecule therapeutics for cancer. The Gordan lab has also used clinical informatics to develop molecular hypotheses for response and resistance to therapeutics in these difficult to treat cancers.
